Adur Council choose Matta Products

Due to its preferential overall lifetime cost, and low levels of maintenance, Adur District Council decided that wherever possible, they would use Matta surfacing instead of bark chip pits in their play areas.
Adur Council chose Matta's surfacing over alternative loose lay surfacing products and the council have certainly have not been disappointed with the improved safety and lower maintenance costs of the surfacing.
Clive Bramble of Adur Watch & Park Services said "Safety Matta is absolutely marvellous, fantastic- and of very little interest to vandals. Even if vandals attack the surface, replacement is quick and easy, less disruptive and looks better’’.
Having very limited budgets, Adur only renews one play area a year, so demands a 20 year life for its play areas, meaning product lifetime receives very serious consideration. Equally important is minimising maintenance budgets, as these have been frozen
for the last five years, making a reduction in real terms of at least 2.5%, so it’s no surprise that Clive Bramble is actively taking maintenance cost out.
Clive said of Matta surfaces, "They may be more expensive tiles initially, but without doubt they last and last."
